Long Beach Real Estate

Long Beach is a city in Pacific County, Washington.

Long Beach is known for its beach and boardwalk on Long Beach Peninsula. Contrary to the proclamation "The World's Longest Beach" emblazoned on the archway over Bolstad street in the town of Long Beach, the beach here is not the longest beach in the world. It is in fact, the "World's Longest Continuous Peninsula Beach" because it is the world's longest beach on a peninsula. The Long Beach peninsula stretches 28 miles along Washington's southwest coast starting in close proximity to where the Columbia River meets the Pacific Ocean and extending north to the entrance to Gray's Harbor.

Discovery Trail traces a coastal route taken by explorers Lewis and Clark. At the mouth of the Columbia River, the 1800s Cape Disappointment and North Head lighthouses overlook the Pacific Ocean. Willapa National Wildlife Refuge has bird-rich wetlands.
