McMinnville, Oregon Real Estate

McMinnville is the county seat of and largest city in Yamhill County, Oregon. According to Oregon Geographic Names, it was named by its founder, William T. Newby (1820–1884), an early immigrant on the Oregon Trail, for his hometown of McMinnville, Tennessee.
McMinnville is at the confluence of the North and South Forks of the Yamhill River in the Willamette Valley.

McMinnville is a small town that packs a lot of charm and urban sophistication, with its newly renovated, turn-of-the-century buildings that have become trendy restaurants, wine bars and galleries. The city of McMinnville sits in the middle of Oregon’s famous Willamette Valley wine region, and is famous for its fine wines, and the three joys of living in Oregon: food, wine and the great outdoors. Roughly equidistant between Portland and Salem, McMinnville feels far away from the beaten path, yet offers small town living with options you’d expect in a large city.
